GLBenchmark 2.1.2 released March 14, 2012 Kishonti Informatics' latest performance testing utility for measuring the underlying OpenGL ES 2.x implementation of devices is now available on the App Store and in Google Play.
GLBenchmark 2.1.2 measures different graphics and computation capabilities of mobile devices. The majority of the tests focus on graphics resources, measuring the quality and performance of the underlying OpenGL ES 2.x implementation. GLBenchmark 2.1.2 has the new user interface introduced in GLBenchmark 2.1.1. The UI contains menu options and also provides descriptions for each test, which makes navigation and usage easier. Reacting to frequent feedbacks from users, developers of GLBenchmark created an in-menu registration option which enables registration with a Google-account and other e-mail accounts via browser. This makes registration smoother, as visiting www.glbenchmark.com is no longer required for creating a new account. GLBenchmark 2.1.2 supports x86 architecture and Android's Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.3. Among other features, the benchmark includes high-level 3D animations, low-level graphics measurements and enables creating personalized benchmarking suites by changing settings. GLBenchmark does not contain advertisement, adware, malware, phishing or any other unwanted applications. Users can compare results with all the other uploaded results at www.glbenchmark.com/result.jsp.
